Ocean Echoes

Nemi is shaped by ocean tides, rock pools, and the rituals of coastal life.

Born in a tiny home coastal studio in Aotearoa New Zealand, each piece begins with close observation of the sea — shells gathered along the shoreline, hours spent exploring tidal pools, and oceanographic studies that shape the artistry of each piece. These moments of discovery are carried through into ocean-shaped jewellery and exclusive textile prints, preserving the natural ridges, twists, and imperfections formed by the sea, capturing its movement and memory in lasting adornment.

Cast directly from real shells found in Aotearoa New Zealand, each piece preserves the delicate textures shaped by the ocean. Finished in sterling silver or gold vermeil, these forms echo the rhythm of the tide, carrying fragments of the sea into your everyday wear.

Our prints are born from the same coastal rhythm. Hand-painted shells, seaweed, seahorses, and scampi — painted one by one by our founder and print designer, Greg — are mirrored and repeated across the fabric. Inspired by old-world shell grottos and mosaics, oceanographic studies, and childhood shell collecting, each design transforms observation into a one-of-a-kind, Nemi-exclusive artisan print.

Nemi holds the ocean’s memory with you — shaped and worn by tide and time, a fragment of ocean life.
